
Bishop P. Andrew Smith
Bishop P. Andrew Smith is originally from Barbados. He
responded to God’s call to ministry when he enrolled
in Christian Union Bible College in the Commonwealth of
Dominica in 1978.
He served both in the local Constabulary as a Police Officer
and also as a Teacher. Bishop Smith worked extensively
in the Eastern Caribbean Islands as an Educational Consultant
recommending educational programs for governmental agencies
and schools geared at assisting students with severe learning
disabilities.
Since migrating to the USA in 1998 he was ordained a Priest
in the Anglican Community before he pioneered Sanctuary
of Praise Community Church on 30 July 2000.
The outstretched hands has been symbolic in the ministry
and personal statement of the Bishop as his motto is reaching
out and touching lives with the love of Jesus. He believes
in reaching up in total worship to Him who is worthy. In
reaching out to touch lives and reaching in to stabilize
and fortify believers.
Bishop Smith is currently the presiding Bishop of Sanctuary
Of Praise Community Church, and is also Business Manager
at a financial research company situated in New Jersey.
Bishop Smith is presently pursuing a Masters Degree in Theology.
